Liverpool vice captain Daniel Agger has voiced his concerns at not getting enough game time, according to reports in Danish media.
Daniel Agger:”It definitely wasn’t great. But I don’t make the decisions. I think it is because the manager doesn’t think that I’m good enough.”
Agger has been a loyal servant to Liverpool, the longest serving player in the current Liverpool team after captain Steven Gerrard, asked if he’ll remain at Liverpool next season, Agger added: “I don’t know. That’s up to the manager. I can’t go and put myself on the team sheet.”
Agger also voiced suggested he doesn’t wants to play as a second fiddle to anyone and he is not thinking too much about his future, the Danish international added:”No, I’m no one’s third choice.
“I’m not thinking about my future. Now my focus is on the next international games with Denmark and then I’m looking forward to a long five-week holiday.
“My body and my mind needs to relax.”
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers doesn’t seem to like Agger and will be looking to sell him, as the manager needs to bring the wagebill down, and Agger is one of the highest earners at Liverpool. Agger has missed almost half of the season due to injuries, losing his place to Mamadou Sakho. Agger is surely a fan favourite and the Liverpool fans will certainly want him to stay.
