Liverpool are one of the many clubs that are in a state of transition this summer.

The manager Jurgen Klopp, who took over the Anfield outfit just last year is looking to trim and shape the squad in order to help him in his adventure in the next season.

He has already added a number of names to his squad and is now looking to offload players who will not have a role to play at the club next season.

One such player who is set to be on his way this summer is Serbian winger Lazar Markovic.

The 22-year old moved to Liverpool at the end of the 2013-14 season under Brendan Rodgers but was not able to cement himself having been played in an unfamiliar wing-back role.

He was later loaned out to Fernabache last season where he managed to impress the fans but he was not good enough to warrant a permanent shift and is currently a part of Liverpool’s tour to the US.

However, he has not been able to impress the new manager and though got his chances in the pre-season, is rumored to be on his way out of the club as Klopp deems his excess to requirements this season.

And it is now reported that It is reported that Fiorentina and Roma are interested in taking Liverpool’s Lazar Markovic on loan.

The 22-year old is a smart player who has great technique to go with his pace on the field. He has also gained loads of experience playing in different leagues over the years but has often been criticized for the lack of an end product.

At his age, he has shown some good potential but over the last couple of years, he has not shown drastic improvement and has fallen out of favor at Anfield.

However, his exploits with Fernabache last season has seen his attract interest from clubs who want to take him on loan.

Liverpool are without European football next season and will not need too much of depth but if they can qualify for the Champions League next season, they will need all the depth they can get and will be happy to take Markovic back at the end of the next season.

So a loan move for the winger seems to be a perfect move for all parties involved as a move away from Anfield will also give Markovic some needed game time to improve and become a better player.

The likes of Sporting Lisbon, Roma, and Fiorentina are all interested in a loan deal and it will be interesting to see where the Serbian ends up, come the start of the next season.

Do you think Liverpool should keep hold of Markovic this summer?
