Manchester United have made some great progress since their FA Cup victory at the end of the last season.
They have managed to get some big names to the club including manager Jose Mourinho and star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The new manager is also on the verge of landing star French midfielder Paul Pogba in the coming days but is now faced with a problem of off-loading players who are not in his plans next season.
One such player who is treated disrespectfully, at least according to the media, is German legend Schweinsteiger.
The 32-year old is one of the best midfielders currently in Europe but was not able to keep himself fit and have an impact on the Old Trafford outfit in his first season since his move from Bayern Munich.
He has now not been able to impress the new manager who has summoned him to train with United’s junior squad and has kept him up for sale this summer.
This treatment of the German captain raised a few eyebrows all around but once he was up for sale, Bayern and their new manager Carlo Ancelloti were ready to reveal that they are not interested in their man this summer.
This has left the 32-year in limbo over his future and it is understood that he is currently waiting for decent offers to make the move.
One such offer may not be on the table with Italian champions Juventus reportedly interested in his signature.
Serie A giants Juventus are readying themselves for life after Paul Pogba and have reportedly identified the German midfielder as a good option going into the next season.
Schweinsteiger is currently employed at United at a £200,000-a-week deal and Mourinho reportedly wants him out of the club to reduce the wages and also help the youth in the academy get a chance in the starting XI.
However, Juve are reportedly interested in a loan move for the player that will see the player’s wages split between the two clubs.
However, Juventus are not the only side interested in his signature with an un-named Chinese Premier League side also interested in his signature. Along with them, America’s domestic league, MLS might also see clubs interested in his signature come the end of the transfer window.
Adding to them is a new report that suggests Turkish giants Galatasaray have now joined in the race to sign Schweinsteiger this summer. It is reported that Galatasaray are ready to offer £3.2m for his services on a straight deal but will need the player to reduce his wages for them to afford him.
With his class a experience, Schweinsteiger is a great addition to any club he moves to and it will be interesting to see where he will play come the start of the new season.
Where do you think Bastian Schweinsteiger should play his football next season?
