Jordan Herderson put in an impressive display in the demolition of Watford.
Liverpool were in fine form again this weekend as they ran out 6-1 winners over Watford at Anfield.
It was the fifth time the Reds have put four goals or more past an opponent this season and took them to the top of the Premier League heading into the international break.
While it was their forward players, Philippe Coutinho in particular, who stole the headlines once again, this performance was very much built on their domination in midfield.
Jurgen Klopp’s team enjoyed 60% of the possession throughout the game, with captain Jordan Henderson key to that stat.
The midfielder has reinvented himself as a deeper lying midfielder under the German and one stat in particular from this game highlights how well he has taken to the change in role.
The England man posted 14 ball recoveries against the Hornets, the most managed by any outfield player across all the Premier League games this weekend.
His closest competitors were Watford defender Younes Kaboul and Manchester United’s Paul Pogba, who both posted 13 in their games.
It goes to show just how impressive Henderson has become in his new role and Liverpool will be hoping there is more of the same to come as they eye their first Premier League crown.

Jordan Henderson | Liverpool vs Watford | 14 | 90 |
