So you think that the worst is over for Chelsea? Well you have another thing coming!
“Falcao had an important injury, so there is no point in talking about him. Just giving you the sad news” This is what Mourinho told reporters yesterday, further adding to Chelsea’s woes.
Falcao’s move to Chelsea has not reaped results as he and the club would have hoped with him just scoring a single goal in this season so far. Falcao was brought to Chelsea on a season long loan from Monaco to further add firepower to the Blues. But the move failed as it seems Falcao may be past his prime. Even in the match against Liverpool when he was substituted, Falcao failed to create any impact whatsoever.
With Falcao another name gets added to the injury list with Ivonovic, Pedro and Courtois already on it. Though Falcao hasn’t received enough game time since his arrival in Chelsea, he could have been an important factor in the upcoming matches which will decide Mourinho’s future at Stamford Bridge.
In the absence of his key players, when Mourinho was asked about how he plans to use Radamel Falcao he revealed that Falcao had sustained an ‘important’ injury during practice. “Not so important like the one he had previously. But he will be out for a few weeks” he further added.
With Mou short of choices on the bench the coming matches will be difficult and as the climax approaches only time will tell who is going to be called the Chelsea boss, Mourinho or someone else.
