Premier League giants Manchester City will launch a third and final bid of £45m for Liverpool youngster Raheem Sterling as they close in on signing the 20-year-old winger this summer. Manchester City were keen on signing the player last season as well. So far they have placed two bids worth £30m and £35m last month which were rejected by Liverpool. But now it seems Manchester City are adament to acquire the player and accordingly would place a third bid of £45m.

Liverpool FC were initially sceptical about the transfer and manager Brendan Rodgers was not ready to let his star player go. But Sterling had repeatedly clarified on several occassions that he will not play for Liverpool under any circumstances. He had also missed two days of practice, as the Reds began their pre-season training since 6th July. All these incidents have now apparently forced Liverpool to think otherwise and they might now negotiate wit City and sell the player as quich as possible.

Liverpool Echo reported that Liverpool FC have not kept Raheem Sterling in their travelling squad which would leave for Thailand today. This decision of the club have stimulated the rumours and it is believed that player might leave Anfield very soon.

Raheem Sterling personally wants to play UEFA Champions League next season to enhance his career. He and his agent are very clear about the issue and they would stick with the club any further. £45m might seem a little high for a 20 years old but Cityzens are also desperate to make a big signing this summer to bolster their squad. Also Sterling being an english, fulfills their quota of home grown footballers.

It is probably a matter of time that the clubs will agree to a term and Sterling might soon join the CItyzens this summer.
