Luis Suarez, unarguably one of the best players in world, not always makes the headlines due to his lethal goalscoring but also makes the news due to his on field actions, most significantly biting opponents on field.
The Uruguayan superstar, in the past, has bitten his opponents on three occasions so far. During his Ajax days, he bit Otman Bakkal of PSV and was banned due to this.
Then he joined Liverpool but took his habit with him as he bit Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and again got suspended.
Then during 2014 FIFA World Cup, he bit Italian defender Giorgio Chiellini.
Then he joined Barcelona from Liverpool on the promise that he won’t bite anyone ever again.
But a clip shows that he again tried to bite another player and this time it is Lionel Messi, his Barcelona teammate. Thankfully, it was for fun and the duo were joking between them.
A video taken backstage after the UEFA Best Player in Europe awards were given out during the Champions League draw shows Suarez try to bite Messi and take his best player award away. Suarez came behind the Argentine genius after a phenomenal season which saw him score 25 goals and create another 24. Messi quickly dodged as Suarez came at him like a snapping turtle.
Here is the video:
Since his move to Barcelona, the forward has formed a lethal partnership with Messi and Brazil’s star attacker Neymar.
Europe’s defending champions Barcelona were drawn alongside AS Roma, Bate Borisov and Bayer Leverkusen in Group E.
