According to Mirror, Sunderland manager Dick Advocaat is keen on Belgian winger Adnan Januzaj and have enquired about his availability. The manager is keen to take Januzaj who has impressed van Gaal during pre-season friendlies.
The deal is expected to be finished by the end of the weekend as van Gaal believes he needs more playing time before breaking into first team at Old Trafford. The 20-year old have impressed in his debut season for Manchester United under David Moyes.
But the player has fallen down the pecking order under Louis van Gaal last season as the Dutch manager opted for experienced Antonio Valencia on the right-side during his first season.
The Belgian have impressed van Gaal during pre-season friendlies as he played as a striker against Barcelona where he managed to score a goal during the end of the regular playing time.
The 20-year old have made a mere 7 league appeaarences under van Gaal last season and cannot expect much change this season either as they have already signed Memphis Depay and are looking to Pedro. So a loan deal will only do good for Adnan Januzaj as he will get plenty of Premier League football which will help himbreak into United first team line up next season.
Sunderland have had success taking United players on loan in the past with the likes of Danny Simpson, Fraizer Campbell, Jonny Evans and Danny Welbeck all benefiting from their time on Wearside.
