Super agent Jorge Mendes have reportedly suggested Chelsea to not sell striker Diego Costa mid-season.
The 28-year old Spaniard is in fine form this season and has been linked with a big-money move to Chinese Super League this month as he was banished by manager Antonio Conte to train alone in the last two weeks.
However, Conte’s decision to let Costa train alone has paid off as the Spaniard is set to stay with the Blues for the remainder of the season.
Jorge Mendes have also suggested Costa move to China at a later stage of his career as he is at the peak of his powers under Conte this season having scored 14 league goals so far.
He has looked by far the best player in the attack after a forgettable season last year. He has been pivotal in Blues’ success this season as he scored a number of winners to clinch top spot in the Premier League.
Reports suggest that Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is ready to sell Costa if he receives a bid over £130 million.
Chinese Super League outfit Tianjin Quanjian are interested in signing the Spaniard as they have already offered a massive £86m bid for the Spaniard. They are also ready to increase their bid to around £95m pop but the Spaniard could be staying at Stamford Bridge.
The situation of Costa has become more delicate at the club as the Blues have already sold Oscar to Shanghai SIPG earlier this month for a record fee.
The Blues are also determined to keep hold off him this season as they will try to find a potential replacement for Costa if the Spaniard decides to leave the club in the summer.
