Swansea City (2-2) Chelsea: Twitter goes crazy after Costa earns Chelsea a point
Sep 12, 2016 at 9:39 AM
Diego Costa was once again the rescuer for Chelsea as his brilliant 81st minute strike helped Chelsea to avoid a shock defeat against Swansea City. The entertaining game ended with the scoreline 2-2
The Blues were riding high on confidence after winning their opening three games and they started proceeding emphatically at the Liberty Stadium. Diego Costa opened the scoring in 18th minute with a composed, side-footed shot. But three minutes of madness in the second half saw Chelsea conceding two goals. Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois brought Gylfi Sigurdsson down inside the penalty area and the Iceland midfielder converted the spot-kick himself, before Leroy Fer stole the ball from Gary Cahill and put the Swans ahead. But a sensational overhead kick in late in the match helped the Blues to continue their unbeaten run in the season.
The result ended Chelsea’s 100 per cent start to the season and denied them the opportunity to join Manchester City at the top of the table. With 10 points from 4 matches, they are currently second in the table.
Here is how the Twitterati reacted to the match:

Why are Swansea fans booing Victor Moses? Can't imagine he's ever been on the pitch long enough to have offended someone. #SWACHE

Chelsea looking ropey at the back. Antonio Conte turns to his bench, sees David Luiz, turns back round again. #SWACHE

Talking points galore. What was Cahill doing? Was he fouled? Should Costa have been on the pitch to equalise? How about Fer? #SWACHE
