The business end of the Barclays Premier League is almost upon us as teams all around the points table have now understood the practical position they can reach come to the end of the season. This season has been completely unpredictable in many levels as teams from the top half have been inconsistent and teams from the bottom half have shown some resilience.
However, like every week, we have come up with the predictions for the games in the Premier League this weekend. Here are the predicted scorelines for all the 8 games played in the Premier League this weekend:
1. West Ham United vs Sunderland:
The Hammers have been solid in recent times and will hope to take all three points from the struggling Black Cats. However, if their last game is anything to go by, Sunderland may not be easy to beat even away from home.
Our Prediction: West Ham 2-1 Sunderland
2. Stoke City vs Aston Villa:
Remi Garde’s men need some results quickly to stay safe this season but a trip to Britannia will not be easy as the Potters on the back of a 3-1 victory over the Cherries last weekend will go into the game as favorites.
Our Prediction: Stoke City 3-0 Aston Villa
3. Watford vs AFC Bournemouth:
Both clubs have played some good football in patches this season but have not been able to find consistency. It will be an intriguing battle between two sides who play fluid football and the Hornets will start the game as favorites in front of their home crowd.
Our Prediction: Watford 2-0 AFC Bournemouth
4. Southampton vs Chelsea:
One of the many crunch fixtures left in the Premier League this season, Southampton welcome Chelsea this weekend in a game that will make for a great watch for the neutrals. Both teams are solid defensively and the game may well be settled due to an error on either side.
Our Prediction: Southampton 1-1 Chelsea
5. Leicester City vs Norwich City:
The league leaders have a relatively easy fixture against the struggling Canaries who will need to find some results to stay away from the drop zone. However, the Foxes will be expected to take all three points from this game and keep their 2 point lead at the top of the table intact.
Our Prediction: Leicester City 2-0 Norwich City
6. West Bromwich Albion vs Crystal Palace:
A mid-field battle between two clubs who have nothing to lose this season between the Baggies and Pardew’s Palace might just provide some entertaining football as both teams will give their all and try and take all three points from the game.
Our Prediction: WBA 2-2 Crystal Palace
7. Manchester United vs Arsenal:
In what is the match of the week, Arsenal will travel to Old Trafford in search of three points that will get them closer to the top of the table. But the Red Devils have a god record against top teams this season and Arsenal may well be shocked on the night by the home side.
Our Prediction: Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal
8. Tottenham Hotspur vs Swansea City:
The London franchise will be favorites to come out of the game against Swansea with all three points which will see them put in a tough fight for the Premier League title in the remainder of the season. Though Swansea have looked good off-late, they will find it hard to settle in White Hart Lane and take anything from this game.
Our Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 3-1 Swansea City
