According to Sky Sports and other leading British newspapers, Theo Walcott has agreed to sign a new 4-year deal with Arsenal keeping him at the club until 2019.
Walcott, 26 was subject to an intense contract negotiation with the Emirates club and there were few suggestions linking him with a move away from Arsenal in the summer.
Amid that, Manchester United and Chelsea were keeping a close tab on the England International, however, all of that has been put to bed after Walcott has agreed a new 4-year deal with Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger is building a strong squad at Arsenal ahead of the next season and with Walcott’s presence in the team, the French manager will have the option of mixing things in his starting XI.
Walcott’s brisk pace makes him an immediate threat against any opposition. On his day, the 26-year old attacker is a handful for every defense, however, Walcott is yet to reach his peak like it has been the case with quite a few of the Arsenal stars.
With his new contract, Walcott would be among the top most earners of the clubs as according to the reports, Walcott will be earning well in the region of £100k-per-week.
