Smoking is injurious to health, but it is the most popular addictions throughout the world. Smoking is very addictive because tobacco contains a powerful drug called nicotine. Cigarettes are deliberately designed to give you a fast nicotine hit. It takes less than 20 seconds for the drug to reach your brain from inhaled cigarette smoke. Nicotine causes addiction in much the same way as heroin or cocaine.

The practice was believed to begin as early as 5000–3000 BC. But, if one is addicted, then he rarely follows the disclaimer written in the packet of Cigarette that is “Smoking causes cancer.”

Footballers are also human and despite the game needs a huge stamina and work rate, some footballers are addicted to cigarettes even though it harms them even more. Legendary footballers like Diego Maradona, Johan Cruyff, Zinedine Zidane used to smoke at their prime and still delivered on the highest stage.
