The Barclays Premier League is regarded as one of the best domestic leagues in the world of football. It is a host to some exciting talents and produces some great football every week. The beauty of the league is surely the contribution by players from the smaller teams who make a name for themselves. The 2015-16 season has also seen some tremendous performers in the 12 games so far.

This article is a list of the top 5 performers of the League so far:

Mesut Ozil (Arsenal):

The Ex-Real Madrid star Mesut Ozil entered into his third season at the London Club but failed to produce the kind of performances in the midfield he is known for. But this season, he looks a completely different player controlling the tempo of the game in the final third. His vision and passing is among the best in Europe which is stressed by the fact the German International has 10 assists for himself so far this season. He has stepped his game up this season and will be a huge factor determining Arsenal’s position at the end of the season.

Dimitri Payet (West Ham United):

Arguably the best transfer of the season in the Premier League, Dimitri Payet has been simply unplayable in a West Ham jersey this season. Playing just behind the main striker, Payet has shown his great skills, pace and touch and has created a number of chances for his teammates. It is no coincidence that the team find themselves in the 6th position. The midfielder was exceptional in the victories against Arsenal and Manchester City where he did really well to hold the ball up and relieve the pressure on his defenses. He has scored 5 goals so far in a dream start to his Premier League career.

Anthony Martial (Manchester United):

The costliest teenager in the world, Anthony Martial was regarded by most as overpriced and a panic buy by Louis van Gaal. But the French international has proved his critics wrong in the small time he has been at the club. Martial possesses a variety of skills and  a great pace that can trouble most defenses in the league. He scored a wonderful solo goal against Liverpool to announce himself and since then, has been one of the brightest stars for the Red Devils this season. He has scored 5 goals already for the club and would love to add to the tally as the season progresses.

Hector Bellerin (Arsenal):

This season, The Spaniard has become Arsene Wenger’s first choice right back at the club. The pacy and solid defender has been exceptional in his duties in the back four. He has successfully kept many players quite on the flank and his incredible pace allows him to add width in attack. He has an assist to his name this season and is yet to receive a yellow card in the league. If he can continue his form for the rest of the season, he will be an integral part of the Gunners.

Jamie Vardy (Leicester City):

Easily the biggest shocker coming out of the Premier League this season has been Leicester City’s forward Jamie Vardy. Vardy has made everyone stand up and notice him with a record breaking 9 consecutive match goal scoring streak in the Premier League. He is also the quickest player in the league as per the recently released EA Sports Player Index. His dribbling and awareness of space has been just phenomenal and his eye for goal is something many forwards can learn from. He is also the top goal-scorer of the league and it comes as no surprise that many top teams already have an eye on him.
