One the most famous and successful clubs in England, Manchester United have always been a team with great potential. They ruled the English Premier League for a long time under Alex Fergueson but the last two seasons, one under Moyes and one under Louis Vaan Gaal, United were not able to win any silverware. But the end of he last season was strong for the Red Devlis and they will be raring to go in the new season this will begin in less than 20 days.

In this article, we take a look at the strengths of the team and its possible weaknesses that the other teams may exploit. We will also take a look at the transfer round up of the team so far.

The clubs summer activity has given the team a dream midfield consisting of Carrick, Schweinsteiger, Mata, Schneiderlin, Memphis Depay and Angel Di Maria. They have variety, depth, experience and the passion to win games and players with ability to change games on their head. Vaan Gaal will have a huge job of managing the midfielders and giving all them enough game time so as to keep them ready and match fit.

The Goalkeepers position for United is also a place which is all rosy. David De Gea who has been in scintillating form last season gives so much more to the club and has the ability to give the team at least 5 points in the whole season. Valdez from Barcelona is his deputy and this shows that the red devils have a pretty well balanced squad.

United let 37 goals in last season and have a lot of improvement to be done before they start their pursuit of silverware. Last season we were able to see how the defenses were torn apart by some clever play from many teams. With the club competing in Europe, they will need to make sure that the defensive stability is maintained even against top clubs.

The striker’s position in this club is something the manager will look into before the window closes. At present, Wayne Rooney is the only striker available in the squad along with Hernandez who returned back from Real Madrid after his loan spell. They will have to bring another striker into the club with the number of matches they may play in the next season.

Transfer Round up:

Manchester United has been active in the transfer window and have acquired Schweinsteiger, Memphis Depay, Matteo Darmain and Morgan Schneiderlin into the ranks this summer. Tom Cleverly has left the club to join the blue of Mersyside. Robin Van Persie and Nani also made their way out of the club.

The club is still in the market and is planning to raid Barcelona for the want-away winger Pedro Rodriguez along with a number of Premier League Clubs. They lost out on Benteke and look like losing out on Cavani and will have to act quickly to sign a top class striker to the squad that will bring more depth and options for the manager.

The pre season games for United are already under way and the new signings seems to have settled in pretty quickly. They will have to perform more consistently if they want to launch a title charge in the 2015-16 season of the English league.
