After a turbulent start to the season, defending champions Chelsea sacked their manager Jose Mourinho and bought in Guus Hiddink as an interim manager to get the club out of the slump they were in at that time.

Though significant progress has not been seen under Hiddink, Chelsea are yet to lose a game and it looks like the Dutchman has got some kind of rhythm going on at the club.

However, it is hard to imagine the 69-year-old at the helm of the London franchise at the start of next season and recent reports have suggested that Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino is one of the 4 people who have been shortlisted for the Chelsea job next season.

The 43-year old has shown this season that he can flourish in the Premier League with a relatively young squad and with Chelsea now looking for a manager who can nurture home-grown talent, the Argentine has now emerged as strong favorites to land the job.

However, it will not be easy for the club from across the city to lure Pochettino back to Stamford Bridge, especially if the Spurs manage to qualify for the Champions League at the end of the season.

Argentine Jorge Sampaoli, Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone and France manager Didier Deschamps are the other contenders for the job putting the present manager under immense pressure.

Pepe Guardiola also seemed to be on the wish list with club owner Abramovic keen on brining the Spaniard to London but with the likes of Manchester City who are understood to be in advanced talks and Manchester United who badly need a replacement for Louis van Gaal, Chelsea seem to have a tough task at hand in bringing in a eye catching personality to lead the team.

Do you think Pochettino will leave Spurs for Chelsea?
