London outfit Arsenal failed to take more than a point from their game against Manchester City at the weekend as they failed to move up the points table.
The Gunners are currently in the sixth place in the points table, seven points off Manchester City in the fourth place, and though they have a game in hand, they are in atrocious form and have to play out of their skins to qualify for the Champions League next season.
This has seen the manager Arsene Wenger, and his place in the club come under the scrutiny recently.
The French manager who has been at the Emirates for more than two decades now, has been linked with an exit at the end of the season.
Wenger’s deal with Arsenal comes to an end at the end of the current season and the 67-year old is yet to decide on his future.
But his contributions for the English outfit will see no shortage of club who would want to snatch him away.
The likes of Barcelona and PSG have been constantly linked with trying to lure Wenger to their club but according to reports the Metro, European Champions Real Madrid are also interested.
The report suggest that the Spanish outfit are not totally convinced with the progress under current manager Zinedine Zidane and may yet replace him in the summer.
There are very few candidate who can land the job and it is now understood that Arsene Wenger is one of them.
The report also goes on to suggest that Real are also offering him a role as a sporting director in one of the biggest domestic clubs in the world of sport.
Real Madrid club president, Florentino Perez is an admirer of the Frenchman at the Emirates and is reportedly desperate to get him to the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
Wenger is reportedly offered a two-year contract extension at the Emirates already but the 67-year old is yet to put pen to paper.
But Wenger has recently revealed that he has already made a decision on his future but is yet to announce it in public.
And though Real Madrid were not even in the picture at the time of the comment, Perez is confident that he will be able to lure the Arsenal man this summer.
Do you think Wenger will join Real Madrid as a manager or Director this summer?
