Whenever, we think about the worst signings for a big club in recent history, a name comes in our mind that is Bebe.
The Portuguese winger was bought by Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson in 2010 for a fee of over £7 million which his one of the most disastrous transfers by the legendary Scotsman.
Sir Alex Ferguson admitted also that he had paid the amount without ever seeing Bebe in action.
After a dismal four years and few failed loan moves, Bebe moved out of Old Trafford in 2014 with seven appearances and zero goals in United shirt.
But there has been several rays of light since his departure, with the latest coming in last night’s match for current club Rayo Vallecano. With the La Liga minnows trailing to Europa League holders Sevilla in the second-half, Rayo was awarded a free-kick over 35 yards from goal.
He was a promising player and somehow did not live up to the huge expectations piled on him thanks a large fee and a huge club like Manchester United but maybe he will start fulfilling that promise.
He scored a brilliant goal from the free kick leaving no chance for the opposition goalkeeper.
Here is the video of the goal-
