Wayne Rooney Can Go To China: Jose Mourinho

Manchester United manager José Mourinho has revealed that he will not stop Wayne Rooney from going to China if the latter decides to leave for greener pastures.
Wayne Rooney has fallen down the pecking order at Manchester United after a dip in form over the last 18 months. But the star forward had scored an injury time free-kick to secure a valuable point against Stoke.
In the process, he managed to break the all-time goal scoring record by Sir Bobby Charlton for United and became the greatest goal scorer for the club ever with 250 Manchester United goals.
When asked about a potential exit of Wayne Rooney, Mourinho has refused to rule out a move as the Portuguese tactician has admitted about this financial might of Far East clubs.
Chinese League teams like Guangzhou Evergrande and Beijing Guoan are willing to spend £700,000-a-week to lure the England’s captain away from Old Trafford and Mourinho believes it is up to the player to make a decision on his future.
‘I don’t know, it’s up to him.’
Jose Mourinho said.
‘I don’t like to be critical of players who decide to go to China. It’s their life, it’s their organisation of their life, their organisation of their career.
‘The money is huge. The experience can also be interesting.
‘I know some of my colleagues think they are more important than they are and think they can interfere in the lives of other people but I am not that sort of person.
‘Everybody is responsible for their own life. I’m not critical of anyone.
‘To be honest, in Wayne’s case, I have no idea because he has never mentioned it to me.’
It remains where Wayne Rooney would end up in the coming days as he is in one of the most difficult seasons in his career. Still, in the early thirties, Rooney might just join a new league for a new challenge towards the fag end of his career.
