Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho have been battling like 11-year old girls throughout the season with both managers coming up with fresh remarks for each other and often the remarks have been less than pleasant.
In the latest turn of events between the two fiery managers, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has questioned Jose Mourinho’s lack of respect for the other managers. The 0-0 draw between the two sides at Emirates ended with the Arsenal fans chanting “boring boring Chelsea”.
In response to that Mourinho lashed out by saying, “10 years without a title that is boring”. Earlier in the season, Mourinho labelled Arsene Wenger as a specialist in failure. Their animosity reached new heights when Arsene Wenger pushed Jose Mourinho on the touchlines during their first meeting of the season.
Arsene Wenger has carried on with the war of words between the two by asking Jose Mourinho to show more respect towards his opposing managers.
“The biggest thing of managers is to respect each other and some people have to improve on that,” Wenger said when asked about the remarks.
“Everybody lives with his own internal problems and I live with mine. That’s enough.
“You can have incidents with other managers at times. It can get a bit heated when you fight directly with them at times.
“In the end, I believe time heals and what is the most important is to respect each other as much as you can.”
We can be assured of one thing that Jose Mourinho will indeed have something to say about Wenger’s recent statement. All we have to do is wait for Jose’s pre-match conference later today and we will have yet another round of Wenger-Mourinho bout. It will be interesting to see as to who will deliver the hardest punch this time around.
