West Ham United did not have the best of the seasons under Slaven Bilic in the last campaign as they failed to break into the top half of the table, on the back of a season that saw them play the Europa League qualifiers.
Though Bilic was unlucky with the number of injuries to his squad, he will know that he is lucky to keep his job and that he will not be given any more chances to get West Ham back on track next season.
So the Croat is making sure that he has enough arsenal in his squad to make sure that they can compete with the best next season.
This has seen the Hammers linked with some of the finest stars in world football at the moment and one player constantly linked with a move to the club is Mexican international Javier Hernandez.

Having played for Manchester United and Real Madrid in the past, Hernandez is one of the most prolific strikers in world football and reports suggest that West Ham and Chelsea are interested in his signature this summer.
West Ham to announce Chicharito this week
But according to reports from Sky Sports, the Hammers have won the race for the signature of the Mexican star and are set to unveil him in the upcoming days.
He has 28 Bundesliga goals to his name in two full seasons for Bayer Leverkusen but it is now understood that he is on his way back to England, to play in the Capital city next season.
Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth spoke to the press and revealed that both clubs are close to reaching an agreement for the player.
“One move that is edging closer is the striker Javier Hernandez,” Sheth said on Sky Sports News.
“It’s our information a move from Bayer Leverkusen could be finalised in the next week,” he added.
He also suggested that West Ham will make an improved bid for Stoke City star Marko Arnautovic soon.
‘West Ham have had two bids rejected, the latest being £20million.“
“We expect the third offer and expect it soon,” he added.

Chicharito to debut against Manchester United
And ironically, West Ham United have a chance to unveil their new signing in the Premier League when they travel to the Old Trafford in the first game of the season.
West Ham’s opening game, yep, is at Hernandez’s former club Manchester United,” Seth confirmed.
Hernandez scored 37 goals in his time at Old Trafford but can he better it at Manchester United?
