Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is said to be unhappy with the progress of a number of players on the squad and is likely to put them on the transfer market this summer.
With the likes of Arteta, Rosicky and Flamini all set to leave the club this summer, Wenger wants all the players who have been underperforming over the last few seasons to follow the trio out of the club.
And the most valuable player up for sale from the Emirates outfit will be the England international Theo Walcott.
Ever since his move to Arsenal, Walcott has shown glimpses of his potential but has never blossomed into a player he promises to be.
His pace and strength are very helpful in the Premier League and there will be no scarcity of teams who would want to snatch him up this summer.
And according to the Brentwood Gazette, London-based franchise West Ham United are interested in signing the 26-year old this summer.
West Ham have had a tremendous season this campaign and find themselves within reach of European football next season even as they leave behind the Upton Park to move to the Olympic stadium for the start of the next season.
Walcott who has 54 goals to his name in the Premier League will play a big role in England’s EURO16 plans and he will surely be playing to secure a place in one of the bigger clubs in England.
He has in the past revealed his desire to play down the middle and Slaven Bilic, the West Ham boss is understood to be happy to provide the player with the opportunity to do so.
The Hammers seem to be convinced that Walcott can increase the quality of the squad and are ready to offer £26 million for the 26-year old this summer.
Walcott is still nowhere near his best and will only get better the more time he gets to play. He will also relish the responsibility of leading the club up top and this might help him to mature into a player that he is capable of.
However, with the likes of Liverpool also interested in the pacey winger, this transfer might become one of the stories of the summer.
Do you think Arsenal should sell Walcott this summer?
