Chelsea star Willian has claimed the two major awards at Chelsea’s season ending bash.
The Brazilian has been selected as Players’ Player of the Year and Club Player of the Year.
Chelsea defended the title very poorly and couldn’t get any higher than the ninth number in the Premier League points table before ending this year’s campaign.
But fortune turned a little towards the Blues in 2016 and gave a positive end to the season, in which Willian has flourished.
After a vote from his peers, In the lavish event at Stamford Bridge, he was first presented with the Players’ Player of the Year trophy.
He won the Player of the Year award later that evening and completed an outstanding evening.
Willian scored 11 goals this season, among those six came from free-kicks. This is his most successful Chelsea season so far.
Elsewhere, after an impressive season, Ruben Loftus-Cheek was awarded as the Young Player of the Year. He made 16 appearances and scored his first two goals at senior level this season.
The goal of the season awarded to Eden Hazard, although he scored his first goal of the campaign last month.
His wonderful strike against Tottenham, was named as the best goal, which confirmed Leicester’s league title win.
Katie Chapman awarded as the Ladies Player of the Year, after captaining the Blues to Women’s Super League and Women’s FA Cup glory.
Fikayo Tomori won Academy Player of the Year.
