Willian Missing From Chelsea Action?? Fans Confused Over Brazilian Star’s Continued Absence

Chelsea’s fine form during the early stages of the season continued this weekend, with a 1-0 victory over Premier League new boys Middlesbrough at The Riverside.
Diego Costa’s 10th goal of the season was enough to separate the sides, but the main question on Chelsea fans’ lips (or fingertips, to be precise) is where was Willian?
Injury and the recent death of his mother had been thought to be the main reasons behind his ongoing absence, but now fans are starting to wonder if he’s just been given the chop altogether by new boss Antonio Conte.
The Brazilian was the one bright spark in the club’s lacklustre campaign last season, but now cannot seem to get anywhere near the side as they march on towards the Premier League title.
But with the likes of Pedro and Victor Moses continuing to impress, their bewilderment and sadness has turned into humour and indifference as they took to social media to go as far as celebrating his absence.
But it’s not as if the 28-year-old’s performances have given Conte much of a reason to doubt his ability or his suitability to his system.
So far, he’s made just eight appearances this season, scoring twice. But he’s also managed to chalk up 24 chances for his teammates. Not only that, but he’s managed to record a 90% pass success rate, averaging no offensive or defensive errors for his efforts.
He’s still managing to do enough to stay in the Brazilian national team, though, coming off the bench during the Selecao’s 2-0 win over Peru earlier in the week.
However, he’s missed out entirely on the club’s five-game winning streak, not that that seems to bother Blues fans anymore…
Chalobah ahead of Oscar and Willian. That’s why we’re mates Antonio Conte.

Conte is the first Chelsea manager to play Willian in his natural position, as an inverted deep lying reserve.

Good things happen when it's not Willian taking corners

Pedro may have missed a few clear cut chances but he's still been better than any Willian performance I've seen in the last 6 months

The right wing upgrade from Willian-Ivanovic to Pedro-Moses is probably the biggest upgrade in the history of football

Switching to 343 but also removing Ivanovic oscar & willian from XI has given us this winning formula. Will it continue today..I think so ??
