The FIFA World Cup 2018 qualifiers draw took place today. England, Wales and Ireland are plced in a fairly easy group and the teams should not face much hindrance in making it past the group stages. England are placed in Group F alongside Scotland, Slovenia, Malta, Lithuania and Slovakia. Defending champions Spain and finalist Italy are drawn together in Group G at the preliminary draw in Russia on Saturday.

Among the other notable draws, European giants France and Netherlands face the same challenge in Group A, which also features Sweden, Bulgaria, Belarus and Luxembourg.
