Forbes Magazine has published a list of the world’s leading richest sports agents according to the money they generated in 2015.

The world of football is topped by world-renowned agent Jorge Mendes and only baseball agent, Scott Boras is ahead of the Portuguese agent in the last.

Jorge Mendes and his company Gestifute International represent some of the biggest and star names in the game of football and their portfolio of players include the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, James Rodríguez, Radamel Falcao, Otamendi, Diego Costa, Pepe, Ángel Di María and David De Gea. Till now The company of Mendes have earned a total of over 95 million dollars in commission from transfers during 2015.

USA’s Scot Boras who is into the world of Baseball has generated 117 million dollars (22 more than Mendes). American Football agent, Tom Condon is third in the Forbes list, with earnings close 60 million dollars so far in 2015.

English agent, Jonathan Barnett who represents world famous players like Gareth Bale, Luke Shaw, Grzegorz Krychowiak and Joe Hart flys the flag again for the ‘beautiful game’ and secures fourth position after his dealings in the market this year.

The top five is closed by Volker Struth, an agent who specializes in the Bundesliga and represents players such as, Toni Kroos, Mario Götze, and Marco Reus. The German agent has till now has accumulated a sum total of 42 million dollars commission after his dealings in the year to date.

The first Spanish agent on the list is, José Antonio Martín On, ’Petón’, his agency, Bahía Internacional have generated almost 30 million dollars after their business in the world of football this year.

The Spanish company takes care of the interests of players such as Javi Martínez, Jesús Navas, Dani Parejo, Pedro, Raúl García, Asier Illarramendi and Vitolo.

The most prominent name among football agents missing from this list is Mino Raiola who is known for his arrogant attitude and the high profile players he manages. He manages the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba, Mario Balotelli, etc.

Jorge Mendes was in the news during the transfer window this season. He manages Manchester United star David De Gea who was linked with Real Madrid. The move was almost complete but due to some last moment fiasco, the deal fell through and the Spanish goalkeeper remained at Old Trafford.
