One more blow for Premier League giants Manchester United as Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has declared that United target Sadio Mane will NOT be sold to any club this summer. He mentioned that they will not sell any of their players anymore this season.

Manchester United have so far managed to complete 5 major signings though they had several another star player on their radar. Sergio Ramos was the first player who snubbed United’s offer and decided to continue at Real Madrid by signing a new contract. They had also targeted Southampton’s Nathaniel Clyne, but the player went to Liverpool. The Reds also signed Roberto Firmino who was initially a United target. In the recent times, Nicolas Otamendi went to Manchester City ignoring Manchester United and Pedro Rodriguez moved to Chelsea.

Just after the Pedro jolt United was immediately linked with a move for Senegalese international Sadio Mane who got great publicity last season after scoring the quickest hat-trick in Premier League for Southampton.

But as Koeman claimed he will not let any of his players leave. Speaking to reported the Southampton boss said: “Nobody is for sale, we will do everything to keep the best players here,” Koeman told reporters. “We want to continue with these players and that’s the most important thing.

“This is the worst situation for smaller clubs. We have to deal with the rumours from the press and maybe [leaked] from Manchester United.

“No-one talks about the best players of [Manchester] City, United or Chelsea. It’s not nice, but everybody knows we don’t sell any more players. We keep going – nobody is going away from Southampton.”

Ronald Koeman definitely did not sound thrilled as yet another player from his club was linked. He mentioned that these are unfortunate events and these rumours affect the team’s performance.

Southampton has already sold two of their star players Morgan Schneiderlin to Manchester United and Nathaniel Clyne to Liverpool FC. The Saints are yet to win a game in the Premier League this season as they had drawn their opening match and lost 0-3 to Everton at home last week.
