Manchester United are on the verge of completing one of the biggest transfers in recent times. The club is ready to make a world record move for Paul Pogba, 4 years after he was allowed to leave the club on a free transfer to Juventus.
The Italian giants are making a huge profit on the 23-year old starlet but Manchester United have revealed that the shirt sales for another summer transfer Zlatan Ibrahimovic will cover the costs of the French starlet in less than a year.
So what does it mean to have so many stars in the lineup? The Swedish international, who announced his next destination even before the club did has now spoken to the media for the first time about the business with his new team.
The 35-year old, who is now regarded as one of the best strikers in the world revealed that he is excited to be playing in a Manchester United jersey and felt that it was a great time to be involved with the club.
He went on to say that the next season at Old Trafford will be an interesting one and felt that if Paul Pogba also makes the move, it will be a great deal for the English club.
“It looks very interesting,” he told Swedish television station Kanal 5. “Let’s see if Pogba will also (come), then it will be even more interesting.”
“We have something big going on,” he added.
Thought the French international is not officially a Manchester United player, he is set to be very close to a £100million move to his former club this summer.
Jose Mourinho is very much desperate for a midfielder who can pull the strings in the middle for the club next season and Paul Pogba will add that mettle that the manager needs in the midfield.
He already has plenty of experience in the English style of play and his previous stint at Old Trafford will also help him settle into the club immediately.
Though he may not be able to produce the performances of his Juventus days next season, the 23-year old will surely be an impact player in years to come.
So it is no surprise that Zlatan also wants him to move to United as it will increase the chances of silverware of the club this summer.
Do you think Paul Pogba can help United lift the Premier League title once again?
