The classic footballer and controversial player, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been currently linked with a move to the Premier League. This is because his contract at PSG ends this season.
This means he would not have any club at the end of the season and is looking to make a move away from Paris. However, age becomes a factor here. Zlatan is 34 currently and a move to England wouldn’t really be a good choice for the Swedish man.
Zlatan feels that it’s gotten too late for him to join the English league and snubs off any talks of a move to the same. Zlatan is never out of clubs as news claim that 30 clubs are behind him, says his agent Mino Raiola.
Well, at 34 a move to the EPL wouldn’t be a right choice for Zlatan as he wouldn’t be able to carry on for long. Also, adapting to the league would be difficult for him in the initial stages and could take a long time to achieve comfort in the league. By that time, he would be hitting 35-36 and that isn’t preferable in a tough league like the EPL. So a move to England is practically useless for the Sweden.
In an interview with Daily Mail, he said: “I think it is too late to come to England. I am very happy in PSG, I have my last six months and let us see what happens afterwards.
“I am enjoying it, I enjoy every day on the field. While I am playing at the top level I just want to join it and do my thing. I do not know where I will finish my career let us wait and see.”
French newspapers claim that Zlatan could link up with former United star, David Beckham’s proposed MLS franchise in Miami.
Well as of now, nothing can be confirmed on a move to MLS but it is certain that England will not see Zlatan playing in their nation.
