India’s Squash star Saurav Ghosal surrendered to Kuwait’s Abdullah Kh Kh H M Almezayen 12-10 11-2 12-14 8-11 9-11 in the finals of the men’s singles event. After winning the first two games, Ghosal failed to produce his heroics as he went down to his Kuwaiti opponent in 75 minutes. Ghosal was upbeat after winning the first game as he trashed and smashed his opponent 11-2 in the second game before losing momentum. 

Almezayen fought back and refused to give up in the third game as he dragged it the tie breaker before winning it 12-14. Since then, Ghosal struggled to make some easy inroad into his opponents game as he lost the fourth game 8-11. When the nerves taking its toll on both the players, Ghosal fell under pressure as he surrendered a two game lead to lose 2-3 and settled for a silver.

With this win India have won their first silver in the 17th Asian Games. India has already won 1 Gold and seven Bronze medals.
