Korea won against India comfortably the 5-8 ranking match 117-72 few hours ago today in Changsha Hunan, China. They play Qatar for 7-8 position tomorrow.

Korea dominated the game right from the first quarter taking a lead of 29-21. Next two-quarter they improved their aggression and scored 30 points in each quarter as against India who scored only 14 and 15points respectively. The last quarter was a replay of quarter 1 wherein India improved by scoring 22 points as against Korea who scored 28 points only.

Taeyoung Moon was the pick of the player for Korea scoring 22 points 4 rebounds, 2 assists and one and steals with an overall efficiency of 28 points. For India, it was Amritpal Singh with a total efficiency of 17 points of which 18 were points 6 rebounds and one Assist.

India entered the quarterfinals rounds in FIBA after 12 years their journey appears to be ending setting for 7th or 8th position depending upon the results of tomorrow’s match. Their best performance was ranked number 6th 40 years ago. Even position number 8 will be a sign of improvement for Indian basketball.
