The Kuwait National Cricket team has accounted for a dubious record in T20 cricket as they recorded the lowest ever score in the history of the shortest version. Kuwait, during their Asian games match against Nepal, got out for a team total of 20 in 13 overs. Playing at the Yeonhui cricket stadium at Incheon, South Korea, the Kuwaiti batsmen were simply clueless against the Nepali bowling attack that had Sompal Kami, Basant Regmi and Sagar Pun.
None of the batsmen failed to score five runs as extras was the main contributor to the team total. Nepal conceeded as many as 7 extras as Besikdas Tareq top scored for the battng side with a ihighest score of 4. As many as five batsmen failed to open their account. In reply, Nepal achieved the target in the third over with as many as 9 wickets left in hand.
With this, Kuwait has broken Tripura’s record of 30 against Jharkhand in 2009.
