Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan  gave cash rewards of Rs one crore and Rs 50 lakh respectively to Indian sportspersons, who won silver and bronze medals in 2012 London Olympics on Tuesday evening at T T Nagar Stadium. Sushil Kumar (Silver Medalist in Wrestling), Vijay Kumar (Silver Medalist in Shooting), Gagan Narang (Bronze Medalist in Shooting) and Yogeshwar Dutt (Bronze Medalist in Wrestling) received their rewarded cash reward. M C Mary Kom (Bronze Medalist in Wrestling) and Saina Nehwal (Bronze Medalist in Badminton) were not present to receive their reward in that function. Shivraj Singh Chouhan said “The budget for sports in the state has been increased to Rs 150 crore and if there is a need it would be increased to Rs 300 crore”. Sushil Kumar said that the number of sports academies Madhya Pradesh has are not found in other states.
