Telugu Titans beat Puneri Paltans in the first match while Mumbai beat Patna Pirates in the second match of the day at Mumbai. It was a great display of Kabaddi by four teams that played today.

In the first match between Telugu Titans and Puneri Paltans was one sided affair with Telgu Titans winning the match by 45-24. In the first half Telugu Titans suffered a setback in the very first raid as Rahul Chaduary was caught out by the Paltan defenders. Puneri Paltans started on a right note taking a 2 point after first couple of minutes. Telugu Titans cameback into the match and took a 5-4 lead in the 7th minute. Puneri Paltans got 5 successive points to lead 9-5 but Telugu Titans proved their quality and levelled the score at 9-9 in the 12th minute. Yogesh Hooda got 3 points when he touched the line. By the 18th minute Puneri Paltans had a 3 point lead but Hooda of Paltans did not raid and gave Titans one point. Puneri Paltans entered into the break with a 1 point lead. In the second half Titans began off to great start getting Wazir and Yogesh out in the very first minute. Titans secured 8 points in a row getting Puneri Paltans all out. Titans got the Puneri Paltans team all out again to go into commanding 30-14 lead. Paltan captain Wazir Singh got his first point of the match with a super raid. The Puneri Paltans team got 2 points from each raid. The raid was done by Wazir Singh. The Titans got the Paltans out again for third time in 38th minute. Titans won the match by 45-24 as they won their second match in a row.

In the second match of the day between U Mumba and Patna Pirates, Anup Kumar nation’s best known raider with 287 successful raids, started with bang getting 2 points. Next one raid from each side went with no point. Next Sandeep Narwal earned 2 points for Patna. Shabeer Bapu was caught during the raid. Anoop earned 2 points in the next raid. Ravi Dalal earned 1 point to equal at 4-4. Anoop again earned the 5th point. Next Rajesh was caught to equal 5-5. Both teams earned 1 point alternately till 7-7. Then Mumbai earned three points by raid and 2 capturing the opponents in their half to lead 12-7. In a thrilling move Patna earned 2 points through Amit Hooda in a raid to make 12-9. Shabeer Bapu earned 2 points for Mumbai in next raid. Sandeep Narwal was caught in the next raid and Patna was all out to take the score to 17-10 at break. Second half took off on a low key as no points were scored by either team in 4 minutes though stalwarts like Rajesh , Anup, Sandeep . Then Shabbeer  earned 2 points in 5th minute. Next 3 minutes Patna team tried to come back at 20-15. Then Mumbai fought back again to take the lead to 23-15 five minutes to spare. Ravi Dalal was unsuccessful in his raid. Shabeer was caught in next raid and Gurvinder Singh succeeded in his raid reducing the gap to 24-17 when Mumbai took time out. Patna earned 2 points in succession to reduce the gap to 24-20. This was third successive victory for Mumbai in as many days.
