Yogeshwar Dutt, the medal winner wrestler in the London Olympics seems desperate to earn the qualification for the forthcoming Rio Olympics by finishing within the first three competitors in the Asian championship, to be held in Tokyo in March. Dutt who has not yet earned qualification for the Rio has come off injury in last October, but was denied to participate in the World Championship in Las Vegas in last September. And the wrestler still laments for the incident. He said from New Delhi on Thursday, “I was quite confident about earning the ticket for Rio in the World Championship. But the medical team after examining me before the start of the tournament did not allow me to participate, saying that I would again catch up my groin injury.”

The wrestler however is fit now with an excellent victory for his state team, Haryana and he has also gained individual win in the ongoing Pro-Wrestling league. Now, the 33-year old wrestler is determined to acquire qualification for the Rio Olympics as he commented, “I have already decided to quit from wrestling after Rio. So, my last dream is to bring a medal from my last Olympics and for that I must have to earn qualification in my 66 kg weight category first.”
