Mumbai, Aug 18 (IANS) India’s Rio Olympic bronze medallist wrestler Sakshi Malik will be given Rs.5 lakh by the International Fitness Festival.

The festival is an initiative of Asian Business Exhibition and Conferences Ltd. and Sheru Classic.

Sakshi is the only Indian woman wrestler to have ever won a medal at the Olympic Games. She created history on Wednesday, winning the bronze medal in the 58 kilogram category.

“Sakshi has really done India proud and her Olympic medal is definitely worth celebrating. We are happy to join in the celebrations in a small way by presenting her a token of appreciation during the International Fitness Festival, scheduled to be held from October 14 to 16 at Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai,” Manish Gandhi, Executive Director of Asian Business Exhibition and Conferences Ltd said in a release on Thursday.

International Fitness Festival, a fitness and wellness expo, will showcase the foremost national and international brands that are leading the charge to improve fitness and wellness.
