At Rio Olympic when India sportspersons are competing for a medal Indian sports minister Vijay Goel is on a mission to take a selfie with India athletes. He is seeking photos, more photos and exhausted athletes can’t avoid Goel as he is an Indian minister who is roaming in Rio with Indian contingent.
He took a selfie with visibly exhausted Vikas Krishan and another next to gymnast Dipa Karmakar at the Games Village to being the centre of the group photo after the women hockey team drew 2-2 against Japan. It was the last photo that brought Rio Olympic organising committee in the frame.
On Wednesday, the Organising Committee warns India’s chef de mission to cancel the accreditation of sports minister and others who accompanying him.
The minister allegedly entered the areas which are off limit for non-sports persons. The Organising Committee labelled, Goel as “rude and aggressive.”
Here in India on twitter, people slammed Goel for shaming India at Rio.
