Mumbai, Jan 15 (IANS) The year’s first tennis Grand Slam Australian Open will be shown live on SonyLiv Android and iOS mobile apps and on www.sonyliv.com. “Sony Liv has established itself as the destination of choice for the Indian viewers looking for digital entertainment solutions on the go,” Sony Network digital business head Uday Sodhi said on Friday. 

“As a category, sports are very significant for SONY Liv audiences and hence, we have been increasing our content portfolio to include major sporting events. The Australian Open will be live streamed on Sony Liv since we have the digital rights for the event for its mobile and web platforms.” Sony Liv is a video on demand (VOD) service by Multi Screen Media (MSM) providing multi-screen engagement to users on all devices. 

Launched in January 2013, it provides a rich array of movies, a strong line-up of events across all sports, shows, music, product reviews.
