Arsenal are set to open their Champions League campaign with a tough test waiting in the form of Paris Saint-Germain away. The Gunners go into the game as underdogs but could take advantage of  an injured PSG side.

Paris Saint-Germain is currently under transition phase as their most important player Zlatan Ibrahimovic left the club in summer and the arrival of new coach Unai Emery meant they are still trying to adapt to new life.

The French champions have had a slow start in Ligue 1 as they have lost a game to AS Monaco and drew against St Etienne at home. However, Arsenal who had a slow start as well have picked up their game as they won their last two Premier League matches.

Here we look at the predicted lineups for this high profile game.

The Gunners will be opting for Olivier Giroud as new signing Lucas Perez has failed to impress in his debut game. Meanwhile, Sanchez is expected to start with Ozil playing as No.10 and Theo Walcott rounding off the attackers.

Laurent Koscielny who was not expected to be fit to start the game against PSG has made some serious progress after taking a boot in his face against Southampton. The Frenchman is expected to pair with Shkodran Mustafi as Wenger might not want to rely on young Rob Holding in the exciting contest.

Arsenal (4-2-3-1): Cech, Bellerin, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal, Xhaka, Cazorla, Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez, Giroud

Paris Saint-Germain:

The French champions have had their share of injuries so far this season as the bulk of their starters are still facing fitness problems.

Cavani is expected to lead the attack with di Maria playing a left winger and a No.10 role simultaneously over the course of the match. young Adrien Rabiot could be given a nod and Ben Arfa could steal a chance after Lucas Moura still not getting fit to participate.

The recovery of Thiago Silva meant he could be on the bench and academy prodigy Kimpembe would start considering the form and maturity he has shown over the days.

The injuries to Pastore, Maxwell meant PSG will have to choose the best quality side from the remaining fit players and could find it hard to contain Arsenal.

Paris Saint-Germain (4-2-3-1): Trapp, Aurier, Kimpembe, Marquinhos, Lucas, Matuidi, Verratti, Ben Arfa, Rabiot, di Maria, Cavani

Prediction: Paris Saint-Germain 1-1 Arsenal
