The summer transfer window at the end of the current domestic season is set to be a cracking one with a number of top class European players set to make a move away from their respective clubs.
And in this post, we will look about Chelsea’s on-loan winger Juan Cuadrado.
The Columbian international moved to Chelsea from Fiorentina in last January and after failing to impress, move to Juventus last summer on a loan deal.
And the Italian outfit has been impressed by his returns and is planning to keep hold of him on a permanent basis this summer.
However, Chelsea’s new manager Antonio Conte has asked the club to keep hold of the player and revealed that he is ready to give the 27-year old another chance in the EPL.
This news will come as a blow to Spanish giants Atletico Madrid who are also interested in the winger.
Diego Simeone, the manager at the Spanish capital is a long-term admirer of the 27-year old and is keen on adding him to his squad this summer.
And Spanish media outlet Fichajes claims that the club is ready to offer £12m (€15m) for the services of the winger.
The player recently revealed that he is happy playing in the Serie A and that he was mis-treated at Chelsea.
I don’t think I was given enough opportunity to show what I can do, but that’s football.”
“I’m happy to be back being a protagonist with Juventus,” he said in a recent interview.
It will be an interesting story on summer because Juventus themselves are keen on keeping the player in Turin next summer.
If Chelsea are to get their man, they will have to reject an offer from the Italian outfit which leaves Simeone with no chance of landing the player.
However, if Juventus decide not to make a move for the player, it is understood that the Spanish manager will pounce on the English club for his winger.
The pacey winger will surely be a good addition to any European squad and it does look like he is in the middle of a battle between three teams for his signature.
We will have to wait and see what transpires come the end of the season.
