Danny Welbeck and Per Mertesacker have been left out of Arsenal’s 25-man squad for Champions League.

The duo are out with injury and are not expected to return until the new year.Summer signings Rob Holding, Shkodran Mustafi, Granit Xhaka and Lucas Perez are all named in the squad.Hector Bellerin, Alex Iwobi and Chuba Akpom are included in the B list due to being products of the academy.

Yaya Sanogo is also in the squad after his proposed deadline day loan move was reportedly blocked by Arsene Wenger.

The 23-year-old was the subject of deadline-day interest from Leeds United but will stay at the Emirates until January at least.Mathieu Debuchy is included as back-up for Hector Bellerin while the injured Carl Jenkinson also makes it.Arsenal get their Champions League campaign underway against Paris Saint Germain on September 13.
