Wrestlemania 32 is almost around the corner and this is the time when WWE wants to deliver the fans with the best quality possible. This is the time when big things happen and the fans constantly search the internet for every little thing which in turn gives birth to various rumors. Despite this rollercoaster ride, one thing remains constant: the flow of rumors about the pay-per-view. Here are the top 5 rumors roaming around this year’s edition of Wrestlemania.
Cena to appear in a certain capacity
Cena’s injury was a big blow for WWE because he was originally scheduled to face the Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Recently in a press conference for the next year’s Wrestlemania he has confirmed that he will not wrestle in this year’s edition. Now, since the announcement of the Shane McMahon vs. Undertaker match many fans have questioned the quality of the match since Shane has been aged and out of touch for years. So a certain presence from Cena, interfering the match can’t be undone. Especially, considering that the match will decide the fate of the WWE brand, who better to show up than the franchise himself?
Ronda Rousey to have a Wrestlemania segment
Ronda Rousey had a big-time presence at Wrestlemania 31 last year. She had a segment with The Rock, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon which saw a huge success and deserves a sequel. So if everything goes by plans Vince should appear Ronda for the 2nd showdown with Ronda vs. Stephanie. The only problem lies is UFC owner Dana White is holding her back. Ronda at the grandest stage is capable of making the biggest impact. Also, her try to be on track by facing Miesha Tate for the Bantamweight championship will give her huge boost for sure with the presence.
Wrestlemania to set up the brand split
The talks of bringing back the split brands were even before Shane’s return. Now, that Shane is back and wants to take over Raw and the Wrestlemania match is set, the brand split rumors are even stronger now. Now, as the stipulation is put, if Shane wins against Taker at Mania he will take over Raw whereas Vince will have to move towards Smackdown. Also, point to be noted is Triple H will be waiting with his band of boys i.e. NXT which may create a three-way battle. So, it all depends on that one match.
Batista or Shawn Michaels to be the special guest referee
The appearance of The Rock and Stone Cold has been confirmed. They will appear at the event in some non-wrestling capacities. We have not got any idea on which segment they are going to appear but the rumor mill also suggests that Shawn Michaels or Batista will also involve in the segment of Triple H vs. Roman Reigns. Batista initially turned down the offer to appear on the show due to other commitments but the rumor has resurfaced once again. The chances of the Animal or the Heart Break Kid to be the special guest referee for the match are quite high.
Stardust and Arrow to have a face-off once again
The Arrow star Stephen Amell made his WWE debut at WWE Summerslam last year against Stardust and considering their rivalry are still on a roll he could be present at Wrestlemania very well. The rumors hit the internet after Stardust hit the comic con panel with Amell being present and threw water at him. Amell worked in a tag team match at SummerSlam alongside Neville against Stardust and Bad News Barrett and this time around, it could be a singles bout against Stardust. The Arrow star has impressed the critics with his in-ring performance at the Summer’s special event and looks to do it again at Wrestlemania.
