It is quite interesting that since his debut in WWE, AJ Styles has not used his pendant finishing maneuver Styles Clash to beat his opponents. Instead, he had used Calf Crusher for picking up wins. In fact, he has used the Styles Clash only twice, properly. With the arsenal of moves that Styles has in store, he never got a better reaction than the Styles Clash. So, Styles being unable to deliver the move means WWE has done the worst i.e. they are not letting him use the move.
Apparently Vince McMahon is not happy with the move as this has a slight chance of botching and previously this was the reason of Yoshi Tatsu’s broken neck. Jericho wanted the move to be used in their PPV matches, and it was used at Fastlane without any botch. But, the boss will not take any risks with it and that means we may not see it in near future as the calf crusher will be used as Styles’ finishing maneuver until they can come up with a non-submission move for Styles.

Styles though denied the fact of the move being banned by WWE, as posted on Twitter. He further commented turning his attention to the WWE. Recently he sat down with Rapzilla and stated “I think the jump was due to timing… Being in Japan, being away from home, was pretty scary because if something happened, I would have to jump on a plane and go home, and that scared me”
His thoughts on future were, “I’d say I’m in my prime now. You don’t really get there until you’re in your thirties. Unless you have been wrestling the top guys for a long time you really don’t get that experience… I feel like I really got that now. “
“Experience is everything…it’s just like life. We learn from everything we’ve faced in our lives and we know what not to do. Everything that’s happened to me no matter where I’ve been has worked to this point now. I get it, this is where I need to be. I belong in the WWE.”
