The current WWE champion Bray Wyatt recently talked to Sports Illustrated’s Extra Mustard section to promote Wrestlemania 33, where he spoke about his match against Randy Orton for the WWE championship in the main event of grandest stage of them all.
The WWE champion also talked about his plans for Wrestlemania 33. When asked about his dream opponents, he listed a number of wrestlers and all of them are WWE Hall of Famers. You want to know who they are? Check it out from his own words;
“Mick Foley would be one and Jake Roberts is another. It’s the storytelling element behind their faces, but that one person who I’ve never really spoken about—and someone I could have done something beautiful with—is Shawn Michaels.”
“Shawn Michaels is the ultimate storyteller, the ultimate in-ring performer. I would have loved to have done something with Shawn Michaels.”
“I had the opportunity to do something with The Undertaker on several occasions, and Shawn Michaels is the one who got away. I like fighting smaller guys, they’re easier to move around, and Shawn Michaels and I could have created art together.”
Unfortunately, these matches are not possible anymore, but what do you think, how good these matches could be? Mick Foley vs. Bray Wyatt could have been an amazing match if Mick Foley would fight under his Mankind gimmick. Not only this could be a great match but could also be an excellent feud.
Same goes for Jake Roberts vs. Bray Wyatt. Jake Roberts had one of the most unique gimmicks in WWE, that he was even speculated as the higher power of the Undertaker in 1999. These two dark gimmicks colliding could have his really exciting.
And Shawn Michaels facing Bray Wyatt could be a great match too. Unfortunately, this match will never happen. Michaels will not return from his retirement ever again as he told on a recent interview.
