Movie buffs cannot be much happier hearing the news that Priyanka Chopra is all set to put India on the global map once again and, this time, his co-actor will be none other than Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock. The duo will be in a movie called Baywatch where Priyanka is on board to play the villain. The movie is based on the hugely popular 1990s TV series, Dwayne The Rock Johnson announced via an online video. (sources Indiatoday.in)

Johnson posted the following on Instagram with the quote “She’s one of the biggest stars in the world. Insanely talented, relentlessly smokin’ and extremely dangerous – perfect for #BAYWATCH. Welcome @PriyankaChopra to our bad-ass and incredibly dysfunctional family. Cue RATED R slo-mo running on the beach. We start shooting next week. The World.. #WelcomeToBaywatch.”, where he is seen in the frame with the former beauty queen with the sea in the background. 

Priyanka, the former beauty queen, who had started his International acting career with American reality TV series Quantico, playing the role of FBI agent Alex Perish has also made it public by declaring the following at social media “And it’s time to tell you all officially! Baywatch it is! Being bad is what I do best!!! You better watch out!”

 

Baywatch was one of the most globally acclaimed show with David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson in the lead. Priyanka Chopra, who is supposed to play the role of Victoria Leeds, in the movie version, will start shooting with its cast and crew next week onwards.

The recipient of the Padmashree Award this year was showered by congratulation tweets from the b-town celebs since after the announcement who were going ga-ga a few days before when Deepika Padukone started a film with Vin Diesel. Well, they have got another reason to jump out of their couch!
