It might not have gone down well with many why would WWE let Randy Orton win the Royal Rumble match? This was the second time that the Viper won the prestigious battle royal to add another feather to his hat. Plus, this was a relief to the WWE fans who literally has seen a ghost in Reigns who entered at number 30 and stayed till last until Orton eliminated him.
According to the sources, Randy’s work ethics have impressed Vince McMahon so much ever since he returned to WWE at last year’s Battleground PPV. Upon arriving on the scene, he was pitted against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam and digested a brutal beating but never uttered a word with the one-way booking of the match.

The main event of the second biggest PPV of the year had witnessed Randy Orton left in a pool of blood after being victimised by Lesnar. The social media was all over WWE’s booking towards a legend like Randy Orton. But, The Viper agreed to the job versus beast incarnate Brock Lesnar happily and never complained about it.
The officials were really happy with Orton being committed to the company and his hard work with whom he is working on Smackdown Live. So, this was WWE’s reward to one of the most trustworthy employees of the company who’s in it for the last 15 years and literally has seen it all.

With this win at the Rumble match, Randy’s ticket to Wrestlemania is confirmed. Going by the rumor mill, Bray Wyatt is his supposed opponent at Mania after he wins the WWE championship in near future. Cena has the chances of dropping the title at Elimination Chamber PPV.
If he does retain the title then WWE would go with a repeated Cena-Orton feud at Wrestlemania. We might also get a triple threat match involving all three of them. As of now, we have to wait for the outcome of the Elimination Chamber match in February.
