Shaquille O’ Neil has been rumored to have a big match against the Big Show at WrestleMania 33 since last year. Big Shaq even appeared on last year’s WrestleMania as a competitor for the Andre the Giant memorial battle royal which many fans expected to be a teaser for his future WrestleMania match against the big Show.
But recently, he told the match might not be happen;
“It’s not going to happen? That’s probably right.
“It’s not my fault, that’s all you need to know. It ain’t my fault.
“It’s not totally off yet but it’s not looking good.
“But it doesn’t matter, I’m still working out and I still look better than Big Show.
“I’ll still meet him wherever he wants to meet me. These next thirty days, I’m about to go hard. I’m still doing it like it’s going down.”
Big Show was really angry on Shaq when he mentioned him and his proposed WrestleMania match;
“This could be my last WrestleMania. He needs to step up.
“I’m not trying to be mean, but my time’s valuable. I get it. I don’t have foot powder commercials, car commercials, insurance commercials. I get it. He’s a busy man.
“But if he’s gonna step in the ring, in my business, at our biggest event of the year, show me you’re serious.
“If anything, talk a little trash. Let me know you’re motivated. Because, right now, I just get the feeling he’s terrified.
“He shot his mouth off, he’s in over his head and he’s trying to back out. So just let me know what’s going on, brother.”
The 15-time NBA All-Star said Monday on his podcast, The Big Podcast With Shaq, he has recently spoken with a high-ranking WWE executive and he and the WWE are “back talking again” (h/t Wrestling Inc’s Raj Giri).
And this is how Big Show responded as per ESPN.com’s Matt Wilansky: “It’s on Shaq. He has to figure things out in his own camp. Maybe he is just too scared to show up because he’s too busy riding around singing karaoke with John Cena and going to Krispy Kreme and getting fatter every week.”
