WWE Hall of Fame will see the hip hop star Snoop Dogg in its class of celebrity inductee this year. Snoop’s entry into the list means he will join an elite class of mega celebrities like former Baseball star Pete Rose, boxing legend Mike Tyson, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and 2016 US President candidate Donald Trump in WWE’s Hall of Fame celebrity wing. On Monday Night’s Raw taping WWE has confirmed that Snoop Dogg is to be inducted into the Hall’s celebrity wing. Snoop is the first musician who is actually making it to the WWE’s hall of fame. With more than 37 millions of album selling worldwide and winning American Music, MTV Video Music and Source Awards now Snoop Dogg can add an honorable mention to his lengthy resume.
When he is not busy with his music schedule, he is an elite member of the WWE Universe and had given us with many memorable moments over the past years. He brought his unique flair to Wrestlemania 24 in a “Lumberjill” match. Snoop led the Lumberjills to the squared circle and introduced the competitors in his inimitable fashion. Later, when Santino Marella tried to confront his ex-girlfriend Maria after the battle, Snoop leveled The Milan Miracle with a clothesline, then shared a smooch with the beautiful Diva.
He returned to WWE Raw in 2009 to host Monday Night Raw and was chosen as the special guest referee in a blockbuster match between John Cena and Triple H. he ended up delivering a spear to Chavo Guerrero. Last year, he joined Hulk Hogan at the go-home show for Wrestlemania and tossed up Curtis Axel from the ring.
Snoop will be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2016 alongside Sting, the Godfather, the Fabulous Freebirds, Big Boss Man, Jacqueline and Stan Hansen. The ceremony will be held on April 2nd, the night before Wrestlemania at the American Airlines center in Dallas, Texas.
