Former World Wrestling Federation champion Stone Cold Steve Austin is hopeful with CM Punk would return to WWE. He has said this a number of times before that CM Punk would return to WWE soon. On his latest podcast, the Rattle Snake remained stuck with his prediction that the ‘Best in the World’ will return to WWE at WrestleMania XXX;

“I’m telling you, I’m going to stick to my prediction that CM Punk is going to make his return at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans. I made this prediction two months ago here on the show. It’s been a long time, I think he’s cooled his jets, he’s got some rest, and I think it’s time to get back to work. I don’t see him participating in a match but it would be great to see him in a run-in to establish himself, to entrench himself immediately in a memorable and just a great moment, and I would say plant himself firmly in the middle of an angle, because he would be the angle, by attacking whoever he sees fit to attack or asserting his presence rather, whatever the case may be. But I see CM Punk coming back at WrestleMania 30. Who knows if it will happen. We will know in about six short days when WrestleMania actually happens. “

We have seen a lot of superstars and legends predicting CM Punk’s return. And there are no such news on the actual reason behind CM Punk’s long absence. However; we have heard the chairman of WWE Vince McMahon saying that CM Punk is ‘taking a sabbatical’.

WWE stopped selling merchandize of CM Punk after Royal Rumble, which indicates towards something different. No one could say anything on the actual status of CM Punk. Some believe he would return soon, and some have a feeling that he has quit.

But after veterans like Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan and Paul Heyman talked about CM Punk off screen, there is something very interesting going on out there. Maybe, he seriously returns to WWE, maybe the stage is WrestleMania XXX, maybe it was just a trick to hype the storyline between CM Punk and the authority, maybe, he would start his unfinished storyline with the authority as soon as he returns. But at the end of the day, these are all matters of possibility. We can only predict the best and hope for the best.
