Former World Heavyweight champion The Great Khali is reportedly no longer a member of the WWE roster as the company decided not to renew the contract of the ‘Punjabi Playboy’ which expired recently.

Sources within WWE confirmed to F4WOnline.com and PWInsider.com on Friday that Dalip Singh Rana, who is known as the Great Khali, is no longer with the organization after his profile on WWE.com was transferred to the Alumni section on Thursday.

It was noted to both websites that the 42-year-old’s contract expired this past week and company officials opted not to renew it.

The Great Khali aka Dalip Singh Rana joined World Wrestling Entertainment more than eight years ago on 2006. He debuted against the Undertaker when the Dead Man was having a one on one match against ‘The World’s Strongest Man’ Mark Henry. The Great Khali entered and beat down Undertaker. On the following pay per view event which was Judgment Day, Khali defeated the Undertaker.

Previously, Khali worked in other two promotions, they are All Pro Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling. At NJPW, he won the Teisen Hall Six-Man Tournament in 2002 with Masahiro Chono and Giant Silva.
